A Thoughtful, Individualized Approach to ADHD

ADHD management is not simply about prescribing medication. It is about understanding the individual sitting in front of me and determining what will actually help that person function better and feel better in daily life.

I begin by looking at the whole picture: your symptoms, your history, your work and home environment, sleep, stress, other medications, and the ways ADHD is affecting your relationships and quality of life. For patients who are already being treated for ADHD, I also want to understand what is working, what isn't, and what you would like to be different.

Medication can be an important and highly effective part of treatment, but it is only one piece of the puzzle. My goal is to find the simplest, most effective approach for each patient while paying attention to sleep, appetite, mood, blood pressure, medication interactions, and other factors that can influence both ADHD symptoms and overall health.

I also believe ADHD care should be collaborative. You know your life better than I do. My job is to bring medical expertise, ask good questions, listen carefully, and work with you to develop a treatment plan that makes sense for you—not simply hand you a prescription and send you on your way.
