Skin Health: Caring for Your Skin at Every Stage of Life
Healthy skin is about much more than appearance. Your skin is your largest organ, and its health changes throughout life in response to aging, sun exposure, hormones, medications, nutrition, and other aspects of your overall health.
My approach to skin health begins with understanding what is happening with your skin rather than simply treating what we see on the surface. That may include a thorough skin examination, evaluation of new or changing lesions, discussion of sun protection and skincare, or addressing changes that commonly occur with aging and menopause.
When appropriate, I also offer selected in-office procedures designed to support skin health and appearance. These may include treatment of benign skin lesions and SkinPen microneedling to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture and quality. For women experiencing the hormonal changes of midlife, we can also talk about how declining estrogen and other changes can affect the skin and what approaches may be appropriate for you.
My goal is not to make you look like someone else. It is to help you have healthy, resilient skin and feel confident in the skin you're in.
